Steven Thomas Plac, President and Chief Executive Officer of Historic Homesteads, oversees strategic direction and business operations for the company, including but not limited to product management, ecommerce, and general management of Historic Homesteads.
Steven attended college at Binghamton University and received a degree in Philosophy and Cognitive Computer Science. He has worked in the dot com industry for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Also, Steven is a New York State Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate.
Born in historic Brooklyn, New York Steven has lived in a variety of places ranging from the historic Hudson Valley to Daytona Beach. Today Steven lives in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood of Brooklyn in a late 1860s frame house with his wife and two cats. After initially gutting his house, Steven spent a year facilitating this old home renovation, ultimately restoring his homes historical grandeur and character.

Dana Heather Schwartz, Vice President and Director of Marketing and Public Relations of Historic Homesteads, brings a wealth of management, marketing, and Public Relations expertise to the Historic Homesteads team.
After falling in love with the historic architecture and bucolic state of Virginia, Dana attended James Madison University where she received a degree in English. Dana has previously worked in the Internet division of multiple publishing companies. Dana is currently working towards an MFA in Creative Writing at Farleigh Dickinson University.
In her off time Dana gives back to her community by teaching practical self defense to school children throughout the tri-state area.
